Last month, I had a school holiday for 3 weeks. It started at June 21st 2010. The first week, I read two bestseller novels written by young man named Andrea Hirata. I read the first novel, Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops) and the second, Sang Pemimpi (The Dreamer). From those novels, I learned a lot about friendships, dreams, loves and how to respect your parents. Those novels inspired me to be a better person for my future.
At the second week, I followed a test to joined “DA” and slept in school for 3 days. At school, my friends and I worked together and walked around Surakarta for about 15 km at night. It was fun but also tired, and then all of us slept together in school hall. In the third week, I spent my holiday with a lot of meetings to prepare “Pradana”.
From my 3 weeks holiday, I also had an unforgettable moment. It was right before I slept in school, my friends and I who wanted to be the member of “DA” Dewan Ambalan or senior School Scout, had to follow an event from our seniors. At that time, we were so worried about what we had to do, because that event would be the final test for us. And that event held in 4 days.
The first and the second day, we had put together in school hall and introduced ourselves. We also had some simulations about how to work in “DA”. We was trained by our seniors to be the member of “DA”. We worked together to solve some problems and presented the solution to our seniors.
The third day, we had to come to Manahan. There, we had a lot of fun. We played together and worked as team against the other team. From that day, we had a lot of experiences and learned how important friendship was.
The last day, we had some psychology tests in Manahan. We had a test about our commitment and we also got leadership training. Before that, we had to clean that place from falling leaves. At last, we had to solve an unpredictable problem and learned the All I got in that time made me to be better girl for my future.

How hard to be a member of School Scout
I could not swim
I had an unforgettable experience. it was very interesting. I got the experience when I went swimming with my friend. There, we would swim. I did not swim with them because I could not swim. The swimming pool was very deep, so I was really afraid of swimming. But my friend always asked me to swim. Suddenly my other friend pushed me into the swimming pool. I was very panic because I could not swim. I drank much water. I asked my friend to help me. But they were only smile and didn’t want to help me. But finally they helped me because they knew that I could not swim. From the experience, I learned hard to swim and I could swim after learning many time. But I was still afraid if I swam in the deep water.

I hope I can travel with my friends
Last the last holiday, I didn’t go as my friends went to spend their holiday. I just went to my friends house and bookstore. But I enjoyed my holiday. In my friend’s house, we shared about new class in second grade and science majors. We also discussed about travelling together with all friends in X.4. However, it was just a plan, because we had problem and couldn’t realize it. When my friends and I went back to home, in the street we had a short message that my friend’s brother was dead. In the morning on 29th June 2010, almost all of my friends and I went to my friend’s brother funeral, and we also support her.
After that, Tria, poppy (two of my best friends) and I went to Gramedia bookstore. Tria looked for conan comics and I looked for ‘Jambul Merah’ novel by Raditya Dika. Although, I went around gramedia bookstore, I didn’t get ‘Jambul merah’ novels. In the fact, I was false. The true name of the novel was ‘Marmut Merah Jambu’. I was very shy when Tria and Poppy laughed at me. When I looked at the price of the ‘Marmut Merah Jambu’ novel, it was very expensive for me, because in that time I didn’t have much money. I thought that borrowing the novel from my friend had very benefit for me than buying it. So, I went home, without any book. I hope in the next holiday, I can travel together with all of my friends and I have excited holiday
